Bear Grylls and the Frozen Tundra

In one of his episodes on the TV show Man Vs Wild: Bear Grylls goes to the Alaskan region and he travels through the snow and freezing water to reach a serene valley of glaciers.

He is there for a few hours when a cruise ship passes by and finally rescues him. This seemed like an idyllic place for me and the cherry on top was that my parents-in-law had booked a cruise to goto Alaska as well. That fell through and they couldn't actually go, but it did spark my interest in an Alaskan Cruise.

Now begins my search for good alaska travel deals. Let me know what has been good for your guys.
